TUDISO GATE

Privacy Policy

What goes past the gate, and what stays in your flat.

Tudiso Gate helps residents of apartment buildings and gated communities log visitors and parcels, report maintenance problems, book shared rooms and keep track of common charges. The information you enter stays on your device. We don't run accounts, ads or tracking.

Summary

Tudiso Gate is published by Jack Murray ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the Tudiso Gate mobile app (the "App") handles information. In brief:

  • Your visitor entries, parcel logs, maintenance reports, bookings, fee records and notes are saved locally on your device.
  • We don't need an account from you and we don't operate a server that receives your entries.
  • We don't use advertising, analytics SDKs, cross-app tracking or data brokers.
  • Information only leaves your phone when you send it, for example by sharing a report with your building manager.

What we never collect

  • No precise or approximate location tracking.
  • No advertising identifiers, device fingerprinting or cross-app tracking.
  • No analytics or behavioural profiling of how you use the App.
  • No contact-list uploads. Nothing is read from your address book unless you pick a single contact yourself.
  • No financial account or card details.

Apple or Google may give us anonymous, aggregated crash or download statistics through their developer consoles, depending on your device settings. We can't use those figures to identify you, and you can turn this reporting off in your phone's settings.

2A

Device permissions

The App asks for a permission only when you use a feature that needs it. You can refuse or withdraw a permission at any time in your device settings.

  • Camera / Photos: only to attach a photo to a maintenance report or parcel entry. Photos stay on your device.
  • Notifications: local reminders for bookings, expected visitors or charge due dates. These are scheduled on your device and not sent through our servers.
  • Phone: tapping an emergency contact opens your phone's dialer. The App doesn't log or record your calls.
2B

Sharing you start yourself

You can use your device's share sheet, email or messaging apps to send a maintenance report, visitor notice or booking to your building manager, concierge, neighbours or anyone else. When you do:

  • the information goes to the recipient and app you choose, under their privacy terms;
  • we don't receive a copy;
  • you're responsible for making sure you're allowed to share it. For example, don't share a visitor's details more widely than your building needs.
2C

Emergency contacts

Emergency numbers you store are kept on your device so you can reach them quickly. The App isn't an emergency service and doesn't contact anyone for you. In a life-threatening situation, call your local emergency number (112 in the EU) directly.

3A

Retention and deletion

Your entries stay on your device until you delete them. You can delete individual items in the App, and uninstalling the App removes its local data. If you've turned on your operating system's device backup (iCloud or Google backup), App data may be included in that backup under Apple's or Google's terms. We can't access those backups.

3B

Children

The App is meant for adult residents and household members. It isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children.

3C

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because your App data sits on your own device, you can use most of these rights directly in the App. If you email us, we'll use the information in your message only to reply, and we'll delete the correspondence when it's no longer needed. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, such as the Hungarian NAIH.

4A

Security

Local data is protected by your device's built-in security, including its lock screen and storage encryption. Please keep a passcode or biometric lock on your phone, especially because visitor and parcel logs can reveal when you're at home.

4B

Changes to this policy

If the App's data practices change, for example if an optional online sync feature is added, we'll update this page and the effective date before the change takes effect. Where the law requires it, we'll ask for your consent.
